About Us

The Heritage Network specialises in designing and managing archaeological schemes to meet the requirements of local and statutory authorities, and government agencies.

Established in 1992, the practice has a wide experience of working with public, private and charitable clients on construction and conversion projects including roads, pipelines, housing and industrial building.  As a Registered Archaeological Organisation we follow the Code of Conduct and the published Standards and Guidance of the Institute of Field Archaeologists.

We offer clients a complete package, from archaeological risk assessment through to the publication of a final report.  Our services include:

  • Desk Based Archaeological Assessments
  • Project Designs
  • Recording of historic buildings
  • Monitoring of development groundworks
  • Field evaluations and surveys
  • Open-area excavation
Much of the Heritage Network's work is concerned with the discharge of archaeological conditions attached to the planning permission for building projects.
